I decided on a naming convention for my home network this morning, and from now on I am going to use beer as my guide for naming machines. I’ve seen it used once or twice on networks I’ve seen, although I can never recall seeing it in a production network.

So, in the next few days my laptop will be renamed as stella, and who know’s what the rest of the machines will end up being called, think I’ll need some beer in me for that one!
