The more I read about Derren Browne playing Russian Roulette ‘live’ on Channel 4 last night, the more I think perhaps the stunt was real. I know as I was reading about it yesterday afternoon, I was convinced it was all a prank, but now I’m starting to think perhaps he was crazy enough to do something like that.

I don’t know however, if C4 would be crazy enough to pull off such a show. Ok, they were broadcasting with a slight time lag, which would allow them to pull the show if something went wrong, but I don’t know if they would be brave enough to go through with it, given the fallout that would occur if things had gone wrong.

Either way, in a strangely sickening way, I found the two minutes between Derren firing the gun at the wall thinking chamber number 5 was live, and him compising himself before firing again, some of the most intense, compulsive television I’ve ever seen. However, I hope we don’t have to endure anything like this again!
