Well, once again it’s New Years Eve, and I’m sat at home with no electricity!! I’ve lost count of the number of New Years where we’ve not had power now, but at least the laptop still has 86% charge, so I’ll be ok for another while, tho I’ll miss the Hootenanny and Hogmany on telly!

Happy New Year

Today, amongst other things, is my late Granny’s birthday. Unfortunately I never got to meet her as she died very young, but we’re still thinking of her.

Who, in their right mind, would schedule an International Rugby match for Valentines weekend in Paris?!? Apparently the International Rugby Board think it’s a good idea to have France play Ireland there on Feb 14th. I’m finding it a nightmare, as Cella and her man want to go too, but, as she’s teaching, she’s not [...]

This day 11 years ago, we found out that my wee brother Barry had Leukaemia, a black day in all our lives. Yet 11 years later, you’d never think it from looking at him that there was ever anything wrong with him, and it’s made us all better, stronger people who have learned to appreciate [...]
