Text appeal sets mobile phone record
30 12 2003IRISH people are set to send an incredible 14.1m text and picture messages on the two main days of the holidays - Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.
Overall, a record 42m text messages are expected from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Day.
O2 Ireland said that over 6.1m text and picture messages were sent over their Ireland network on Christmas Day. An average of 4m are expected on other days during the holiday period, compared with 3m on a normal day.
