DjMagra’s stuff ‘n’ stuff

Thanks to kverens I stumbled upon Synergy today. Synergy is a very cool, multi-platform Keyboard and Mouse switcher, which I have been using quite happily today to access both my Laptop and Desktop using the one mouse and keyboard. Unfortunately, I still have the need for two monitors, but I’ll be getting my hands on a proper KVM switch soon to get around that.

One gotchya with Synergy is that both machines need to have a mouse attached (though the second one doesn’t need to be in use in any way), and it doesn’t require a keyboard be plugged in.

There are plans to make a fully functional KVM of Synergy, and I’d be looking forward to trying that out very much
