DjMagra’s stuff ‘n’ stuff

I watched Spin the Bottle last night, a homegrown Irish movie, set in inner city Dublin about Rats, a ‘head’ released from Mountjoy prision, and determined to get himself on the straight and narrow and come up with the funds to send his obese neighbour to Lourdes for a pilgrimage. The film is littered with cameos from Gerry Ryan, Loius Walsh, Samantha Mumba and Miriam O’ Callaghan, and from the outset looked promising. I originally saw the trailer for this about a year ago in the cinema, and thought it was excellent.

How disappointed was I so after the first few minutes, when it just dragged on, was not very funy, and ultimately became a chore to watch. Even the funny cameo roles couldn’t help save this one, and I can’t really say that I would recommend this movie to anyone!
