DjMagra’s stuff ‘n’ stuff

Christy Moore has been speaking of an ordeal that he had to endure last Monday whilst taking the ferry from Dublin to Holyhead in Wales. He was detained and questioned by UK Police, who used their powers under the Anti-Terrorism laws to do so. Christy has said he found the whole experience threatening, and he faced questions about lyrics in his songs, the contents of his briefcase and personal questions about his family and children back home.

It just makes you wonder really about where we’ve come from through history, and how this sort of thing can still happen, and why the police are not better served directing their efforts towards something worthwhile and productive.
