Sunday Stroll

Went out for a nice long wander today, the light was great, so, there were lots of photo’s taken, and, as I get more and more used to the camera, there’s more and more keepers coming about. This isn’t quite my favourite, but, i like it a lot all the same. I tried to take [...]

I want to mention the website of a friend of mine who is also taking lots of good pictures of the local area here. Peter Mc Cabe’s site is PhotoImagery.net and is well worth a look, his work is giving me lots of ideas for how to take some local attractions, especially the wee cottage [...]

Fotomatic 700TFZ

Whilst I am waiting to be able to justify and afford a nice Canon flash, I have to work with an old, Fotomatic 700TFZ dual head flash which we have lying around the house. Of course, given it’s age, it’s not got a great feature set to go with it, yet, it does appear to [...]

Guess who forgot completely about turning up in the Market Bar yesterday evening for the meetup?! I was in town at the rugby and then headed straight home afterwards, without even thinking about heading into the Market Bar! Ach well, such are the joys, hope a good night was had by all!

Gavin is organising this, and though I don’t know him personally, and am guilty of never having read his blog, it would be a bit of fun [...]

Okies, yet again, I’ve been crazy busy of late, and been neglecting the blog slightly as a result. If I’m not working, I’m talking about it, and if I’m not doing that I’m busy playing with my new camera, which still continues to amaze me. I spent about 2 hours last night going “no way, [...]

Okies, so much to learn, so little time, but anyways, here’s the first pic that I took with my new 20D last night straight out of the box with all the automatic settings enabled, followed by pictures of the mess I made whilst unpacking it all….ooooh the excitement of it!

Yes, at long long last it’s here….although, not quite! My camera has arrive, but I have yet to get my hands on it, as I am still in the office! I shall be off to collect it soon however, and hope to write more about it here laters!!

I’ve been following the progress of Angela Johnson on her quest to take a Photo a Day throughout 2004. She suceeded in doing so, and has now created a final montage, which is really neat, and a really good idea. Unfortunately, it’s going to have to be a full year before I can attempt such [...]
