Introducing Nora
20 02 2005Headed to Belfast today to collect a new addition to the family. Nora (see pics below) has become the latest addition to the Mc Grath clan. Whilst it’s not long since my wee Sue passed away, we do really need a dog around the part of the world where we live, so, we set about finding Nora.
Like Sue, she’s a wee Shetland Sheepdog (Shelty) and actually hails from Glasgow, via Donegal and Belfast. She’s 3 and a half years old and has had one litter of pups and is just totally adorable.
I know she’s going to be a complete poser in front of camera, based on the pics that I have taken today, despite the fact that she has been very nervous and overwhelmed by everything that has been going on, but, I’m looking forward to many happy years with her, and many many wonderful pictures being taken.

She’s adorable!! oo making me all broody!
You got yourself another fine model there, she’s adorable.
She’s a wee beauty alright, still very quiet and shy, but she will come out of her shell, and then will have to get to work posing properly for me!
Is she reading Bill Clinton’s book?
Yup, she sure is!! I’m teaching her well!
Where did she get the name? Don’t think I’ve ever heard of a dog called Nora?
She actually came with the name (she’s just over 3 years old). She originated from Scotland, moved to Donegal (to Scottish owners) and has been back and forward to Scotland through her life. I’d assume that she got the name from someone over in Scotland, though, for all the time I’ve spent there, I’ve yet to find another dog called Nora!!
Have to say though…I do like the name it’s unusual, and cute and ladylike, a bit like Nora really!
hahahaha…….
Cute and ladylike..you have no idea how funny that it is to me…
I actually asked because I have an aunt called Nora. Sadly my Aunt is not in the best of health, she morbidly obese, around 30st and has a bad smoking and drinking habit. All in all it doesn’t make for the best physical appearance………she’s the only Nora other than yours I know! I assure you, yours wins hands down in terms of cuteness!
Jesus, erm, yeah, I think mine might just win alright! That’s really sad though…I hate hearing stories like that, it seems like such a waste…
It’s an enourmous waste of a life…..she’s immobile and miserable, and every bit of it is self inflicted..
