You’re Beautiful
18 07 2005You’re beautiful, it’s true.
I saw you face in a crowded place,
And I don’t know what to do,
‘Cause I’ll never be with you.
You’re beautiful, it’s true.
I saw you face in a crowded place,
And I don’t know what to do,
‘Cause I’ll never be with you.
ahhh, have you taken up song writing or are you in love Daragh.
Actually, neither really Tommy!
Ode to John Merrick
For A True Gentleman
I watched that movie once again,
the one about “The Elephant Man”,
his bulbous skull and lifeless limb,
spit-sticky speech and saggy skin.
They dressed him as a gentleman,
society’s visits on a whim,
for tea they’d come to look at him
a dressed up sideshow once again.
That’s if we are just doing poetry…
now one I write for love…
Listening and waiting, I look upon your face,
Your flustered eyes and flushing skin,
Convey the words your holding in,
A passing moment once again…
You hide and you swallow, the words I need to hear,
Stop this incessant ache inside,
This lonliness I can’t abide,
These feelings that you always hide…
Things weren’t meant to be, we met too late I know,
So this I will say,
As I turn and walk away,
Maybe we will meet another day…
by the way…I DO love that song also…;o) But it’s far too realistic.
