Photobox Prints
15 11 2005I decided to give Photobox a try today as I had some images that I wanted to print off (about 70). Photobox appears to have very tight intergration with Picasa so that was my main reason for trying it out. I have to say, the whole experience was very slick, and the cost, EUR 0.29 per 7*5 print is not bad at all. I also sent off some larger print sizes just to see what quality will be like.
What I am most impressed by is the fact that less than 40 minutes after I uploaded my photo’s, I’ve just had a confirmation email telling me that they are in the post!!! That’s quite special. Now, lets hope that the quality of prints matches up to the speed and ease of use so far.

Photobox are excellent - I’ve been using them for about 2 years. I think you’ll be very happy with the prints. They’re taking forever to arrive at the moment though, and I think An Post are the culprit. They normally take about a week, but I had a batch posted to me on the 3rd and it hasn’t shown up yet.
Hey Thomas,
Good to hear from you, thanks for your support!
Glad you have good words to say about Photobox. The time it takes to get the pictures to me is not such a concern, if I want prints in a hurry, I am able to do them here, I’m more interested in Photobox for bulk orders.
And yeh, I’d imagine An Post are the cause of the holdup here!
[...] A few people have been asking me about the prints from Photobox that I ordered last week. I received the prints on Monday, and I have to say, I’m quite impressed with what they sent. Only gripe really would be that the paper they printed on is slightly thin (thinner than normal photo prints), but, that could just have been down to the size of print that I ordered. 7×5’s are normally for framing, so, I’d be interested to see what a 6×4 comes out like. Other than that, all round colour representation and quality is more than I had expected, and that, coupled with the ease of use via picasa, and the prices of prints mean that I will most definitely be using them again in the future.
