DjMagra’s stuff ‘n’ stuff

For the past few weeks, myself and a few other Dublin bloggers, have been working with the wonderful team from metroblogging.com to bring you dublin.metblogs.com.

The site has just gone live within the past few minutes, and with a bit of luck, it will turn out to be as enjoyable and interesting as I’m hoping it will. There’s a great team on board already, and hopefully now that we’ve gone live, we’ll be able to get a few more into the party as well!

Metblogs have come into their own in recent scenarios such as the London Bombings, Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, and the recent transport strike and Blizzard in New York, with main-stream media and people in the vicinity as well as around the world turning to them for up to the minute advice and live accounts of news happening as it happened.

Oh, and forbes.com think they rock too, having named them as one of their websites of the year!
