RTE Fallout

15 04 2006

I just saw an trailer on RTE 1 for an upcoming documentary entitled Fallout, starting next Sunday, the 23rd.

The documentary is a ‘real-life’ drama documenting the events around a nuclear accident over at Sellafield, and the mayhem that would ensue here. It’s a two part series, and looks absolutely fascinating. I’ll be setting the recorder for that next week!

UPDATE:There’s more info available about this in yesterdays Sunday Times

Great, just what we need: more hysteria over what is pretty much the only technology capable of pulling us out of the environmental downward spiral that we’ve spent the last century creating.

Yeah, I hear what you’re saying…but, never mind that, it looks like great viewing!! :)

there was an article in either the Tribune or the Times on Sunday bout this. Something about how whatever organisation would be responsible for dealing with any nuclear *event* are a bit unhappy that they haven’t been shown this yet. They want to have a look-see before the public so they can prevent the mass panic that will, no doubt, ensue.

Oh…that’s interesting! I didn’t see anything about it at the weekend, probably because I didn’t get the Sunday Times!! ;-)

However, their article is available online
