I’ve always felt like doing this

Does EUR 232 sound excessive for a one way trip on the Eurostar from London to Paris with a booking a few weeks in advance? I’ve played around with dates, but, I can’t seem to get it any cheaper than that, seems excessive to me. What do you guys think?

I’ve just received a comment on this photo on my photoblog, which is a picture I took of some graffiti I took in Skerries Harbour last year. The graffiti is a picture of the Pere Charles, and her name, which was obviously drawn there by her crew. The significance of this is that the Pere Charles sunk off the coast of Ireland two weeks ago, taking her crew of 5 down with her, who’s bodies have yet to be found.

9) Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

Question for the masses….I’m looking at upgrading my car. I have my eye on a previously owned vehicle currently on sale for EUR 33,000. I figure my car (from looking at open market prices) is worth about EUR 22,000 yet I’ve been offered EUR 16,000 trade in value on it….is the garage trying to take me for a ride on this one? What sort of figures should I be looking at?

I’m a huge fan of Google Calendar and have been using it for quite a while now with no complaints. However, recently I’ve noticed that I’m not getting SMS alerts for upcoming events, something which I find very very handy, however, for the past while I’ve noticed that I am no longer getting any alerts. Everything is set up for alerting exactly as it should be, and I am able to successfully re-authenticate my phone, but I still receive no alerts. Has anyone else, especially in Ireland noticed this problem?

UPDATE: 

After a bit of digging on this one, I realised that Google Notifications only work for your  personal calendar, and not any additional calendars that you may set up for yourself. This is really annoying,  but, hopefully is something that Google will fix up sometime shortly.

Ok, it’s not very often I get very geeky and excited by a piece of technology….but OMG Apple have just announced the new iPhone, and I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited about getting my hands on a piece of technology…this is going to be so so so awesome. So, you like to travel lots and live the high life as you do?! Well, I know I certainly do, and picking out the hot spots to eat / sleep / drink and visit can sometimes take way too much time and effort, and lead you on a bit of a wild trail.

So, when I was in Waterstones recently and saw the Hedonist’s Guides to London and Paris…two of my favourite cities, I jumped on them. Along with the accompanying website, hg2.com these are pretty much the coolest travel guides I’ve ever picked up, listing the coolest, hippest, trendiest spots to go, whilst helpfully pointing out the overly pretentious spots to avoid. If you’re heading to any of the cities listed here make sure you pick up one of these guides first!

My posting suckiness continues, I just don’t have the time right now, nor internet access at home to make anything happen. Hopefully that situation will be resolved in the very near future, and who knows, I may get back to saying something, and even taking pictures and getting them online again too!
