Is it just a phase I’m going through?
22 10 2007Courtesy of Kassie, I’m after getting hooked on Facebook. I’m not sure that this is a good thing, or if this is something that I’m going to stick with. I really just don’t need yet another social networking profile. I have found that Facebook is quite interesting though, it’s nice and simple, feels far more grown up than Bebo and Myspace, and actually has far more people on it that I know than anything else. Maybe I’ll stick with it for a little while and see if I find it useful, but, no doubt I’m going to loose interest in a few days and it’s going to disappear into the background much like every other social networking site that I’ve used.
Really curious to see how long Facebook keeps your attention, daragh! I’m finding it much more personal and enjoyable than MySpace, but I think it will still have it’s “seasons” - neglected for periods of time and other more active stretches. Pretty cool RSS options to intersect with your blogging activity as well. They’ve definitely gotten some things right. Now, if we could only do something about those damn invitations to play “zombies” and “vampires.” =)

I still haven’t figured out why it’s addictive and hence don’t find it so.
