DjMagra’s stuff ‘n’ stuff

I want to resurrect my Photoblog for a number of reasons, principally though, I want to get back to setting myself a task of posting a picture a day as a means to try and kick my ass into gear and get taking photos again. I’ve been lacking motivation on that for the past few months.

I’ve decided as part of this, I want to look at migrating my blogs away from where they are hosted now over onto my own server for more control (and to save me having to pay Paul all that money!

The technical aspects of it are trivial to me, what’s puzzling me is what photoblog theme / platform I should go with. I am very happy with Wordpress as my blogging tool of choice, however, it’s support for Photoblogs is not the best. I have yet to find a theme that I’m really happy with. Ideally I’d like something a bit funky and slick, I’m not against using some flash or ajax (though I’d like to keep away from JavaScript). If anyone can suggest any particularly good themes, or even blogging platforms that I could use, then please let me know. It doesn’t have to be Wordpress either, I’ve got my mind open to all suggestion!
